A who’s who of Arena Community

Phil Pye: Chair of the Board

Phil has been involved in Christian Ministry for over forty years.  For much of that time he has held varying governance roles in charitable, not for profit organisations, including for eight years at a national denominational level.  He is married with two grown up daughters, two Liverpool supporting sons in law and three amazing grandchildren.

Lisa Harrison: Community Pastor

Lisa is the Community Pastor for Arena Church. Her management role includes but not limited to various roles ranging from the Arena foodbank to the supported living programme and the various retail shops and a cafe. She has been serving Arena Church since 2010.

Christopher Stockdale

Chris is 78 years old and has been married to Christine for 56 years (as of April 2021).  He served as a Junior School Teacher for 42 years including 5 years as a qualified Teacher of the Deaf. He has 4 children who have presented them with 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild.  In Baptist and Pentecostal churches he has served as a youth leader, a deacon and an elder. It is now his privilege to serve on the board of Arena Community. 

Bob Tye

Bob has been a christian for over forty years and has spent many years working with Christian charities in supporting the homeless and has made many journeys delivering humanitarian aid to Eastern Europe. Bob has been married to his wife Mandy for 43 years and has a son and a daughter and two grandchildren. He loves travel, DIY and keeping fit, having completed the London marathon and numerous half marathons.

Ann Simpson

Ann currently works on Finance and Administration for the charity.  She has worked in different areas of the charity including The Project, the Community Hub and Central Office. She has worked in different areas of the charity including the Community Hub and Central Office. She was employed by The Boots Company for just under 30 years and worked for the supply chain to the shops and website, and latterly in the planning for the manufacture of toiletries. She then worked for Assemblies of God Head Office for five years before moving to work for Arena Church.
